Historically, I think a divided government leads to high stocks.
True, but I was expecting a big drop initially.
“Historically, I think a divided government leads to high stocks.”
Don’t know if that tracks if the opposition takes both chambers? Either way, this gives an indication of how we got a huge win for the DSA. Morons don’t understand they are targets of the DSA.
And crashes
I 100% agree. Also, sometimes the stock market likes the end of uncertainty. Even if it means the bad news we expected is eventually formalized, once it's here we quit dreading it, we adapt, and move on (stocks go up).
It'll be interesting to see, however, how much the socialists impact this trend. If the Dims in Congress and some Dim governors actually start trying to implement even more socialism than we already have, will it mean an end to my small-cap value mutual fund usually outgaining my other funds (except for sector specific funds like my tech fund or energy fund)? Perhaps only the large-caps, the big boys, will keep rising because they'll be the ones who are buddy-buddy with Big Govt while the socialists stomp out their small-fry competition.
Boy, this is a nice pleasant surprise. Of all the bad news, I thought for sure the stock market would tank. You are right the markets do like a split government.
What gridlock. Government is 100% libtard. Good run America. Americastan on the horizon
