I think the only deal that the jihadis recognize is total annihilation. They can’t be trusted, and will practice taqiyya to advance their cause. They recognize death and usually embrace it if it means killing others that are not adherents to their teachings.

You’re right about dealing with the jihadis. PDJT has rarely met a situation that couldn’t be handled by making a deal. He’s a smart man who probably knows they can’t be “dealed” with, but he had no alternatives since annihilation wasn’t possible under the current world order and the mid-terms coming upon him. Annihilating them would have meant a certain impeachment for war crimes, likely followed by imprisonment. Iran must wait, and the claim to have a deal probably should have.
