/pol/ (Politically Incorrect) is a board on the website 4chan, which is currently owned by Japanese internet entrepreneur Hiroyuki Nishimura.

Key facts regarding the ownership and history of the board include:

• The Owner: Hiroyuki Nishimura purchased 4chan in September 2015 from the site’s original creator.

• The Founder: 4chan and the /pol/ board were originally created by Christopher “moot” Poole. Poole launched /pol/ in October 2011 to replace a previous news board (/new/).

• Corporate Structure: In terms of corporate ownership, 4chan operates under Delaware-registered limited liability companies (LLCs). Investigations by outlets like Wired have noted that the Japanese toy and figurine manufacturer Good Smile Company has historically held a partial financial stake or business relationship alongside Nishimura.
