The root cause goes back to 2005 when two "youths" who were fleeing police and hid in an electrical substation were electrocuted by their own actions. This sparked weeks of riots in the suburbs of Paris with many parked cars set on fire.
This "movement" has been slowly burning since then. The muslims learned from 2005 that France will back down when pressed, so they press.

• Stage 3 (Dominance / Sharia Phase): Muslims reach a critical mass or political threshold where Sharia or Islamic law replaces or supersedes secular or constitutional law.

I hate to say it but, how long will it be before Notre Dame is on fire again? Or the Louvre? Will the French grow a spine to deal with the mobs before that’s allowed?
