When I first saw Pink Floyd the Vietnam War was still going on. Lots of protests going on in those days. But PF played and sang their music and Roger didn’t lecture anyone then. Saw them a few years later and the focus was still on the music.

The band Chicago, back then was very political. The insert for Chicago III, showed all the band members at a military cemetary wearing military uniforms. And a lot of their early songs were directed against the war and Nixon in particular (A Song For Richard And His Friends)

Dunno. I saw Chicago right after their first album and there were no political speeches on stage. No lectures like Roger likes to give now. Just music.

Funny how the Left blames Nixon for that war.

1964–68—especially 1965–68—was the biggest U.S. escalation. The U.S. shifted to a major ground war, and troop numbers reached their high point in 1968. From 1969 onward, U.S. troops were being withdrawn.

Even to this day the Left’s double standard is glaring:

The corner of my street and PA route 232 constantly had loud angry anti-war protesters from 2002-2008, and then they suddenly were gone from 2008-2016. Never made a peep during Zero’s 8 years. Then they were back gang busters from 2016 to 2020 - disappeared again during the Biden “presidency”..

It’s pathetic.
