In the world of toxic black culture, sticking your finger into the face of another subscriber to the toxic black culture is sure to provoke a response. Chubb may or may not be a subscriber to toxic black culture (I know nothing about him) but he can't be unaware of it. But from all accounts, Jackson surely seems to live in that world.
Chubb may not be in that orbit (again, I know little about him other than he is considered to be a pretty good player) but has to be fully aware of that dynamic. It would be suicidal not to.
I don't approve of that thug punching him in the face, but if you are steeped in that toxic culture (or even exposed to it on a daily basis) sticking your finger in the face of another subscriber is a sure way to escalate to physical violence.
Those of us who are observers accurately note that what ever was said by Jackson to Chubb is the cardinal sin in that culture of "disrespect", and Chubb sticking his finger in Jackson's face is another cardinal sin that means the violence is sure to ensue.
When we hear about shootings in strip clubs by black professional athletes, it is probably an escalation just like this one, just in a different setting.
Good thing Jackson didn't have a gun. Or Chubb.
Thomas Sowell wrote about this "disrespect" dynamic in his excellent book: Black Rednecks and White Liberals and why it is so corrosive and destructive to the black community.
Chubb and Jackson are jawing. Chubb quickly moves his hand toward Jackson’s face. That might be considered assault in California. Cause he has the means to harm, and he aggressively moved his hand towards another persons face.
Jackson throws a short jab toward Chubbs face in response. Two hyperadrenalized dudes duking it out. Normal football behaviour. Seen in practice among teammates.
Ya’ gotta’ be naturally combative to play the game at that level.
BTW,thanks for the link.
