How’s that defunding the police nonsense working out now?! It is working perfectly to accomplish its' real objectives.
That would be; terrorize the law-abiding population by violent criminal predation until people will beg the government to take up new and totalitarian powers to "solve" the problem that Leftist government created in the first place.
