That was a very disturbing and depressing movie. The Britains are told that they are “soldiering alone” as, I am sure, is everyone else in Europe. This is a government-created problem, but you won’t expect the government to tell them, that. It took me a while to figure out (Michael Caine was the only actor I could audibly understand) that they were calling the invaders that the government brought in, “’Fugees”. The British people were probably being told that they were “saving a world” in flight, or some-such rubbish.
London was the prison that is seen, today. Somehow, the woods of England remain unchanged - perhaps for the King and his horse.
