I care about diesel prices, putting food on my table, and American families, not Israel’s endless wars. Israel is not my problem, and its conflicts shouldn’t be America’s responsibility. Take your beef to someone who cares. I’m putting America first.
“I care about diesel prices, putting food on my table”

At current U.S. diesel prices around $6.29/gal, a typical wheat harvest can cost about $15–$24 per acre in diesel alone, depending on fuel use and field conditions.

In 2026, U.S. wheat is projected to average about 47.8–49.5 bushels per acre, with estimated production costs ranging from $150 to $300 per acre depending on region, wheat type, and management practices

A standard bushel of wheat weighs 60 pounds (27.2 kilograms).

Total farmer cost of diesel is less than a penny per pound of wheat at current price. Increase might be around one penny per two loaves of bread (which has water in it).

For a load of 10,000 lbs. on a truck getting 5mpg and a fuel cost of $6.40/gallon, the per mile cost for fuel would be $1.28.
The fuel cost of bringing the local grocery store 2,000 pounds of food & drink (about a year’s supply for someone) from a warehouse 20 miles away would be about $5.12.
You’re only answering half of the question. In what way are Israel’s interests forwarded by these wars, as you say? Or by involving the US in them, which is inaccurate anyway. In 1948, America participated in the arms blockade on the Mediterranean Coast adjacent to Israel, which both Truman and the rest of the world fully expected to be erased in short order. In 1956, England and France were aligned with Israel to retake the Suez Canal, which we did, and Eisenhower imperiously ordered all three of us to get out of the Sinai immediately, or the US would involve itself directly in removing us. In 1967, the US was providing spare parts to Jordan, not Israel, thinking Israel was about to be erased and annihilated. Israel got its spare parts from France, though the US did provide some tanks through circuitous means, via Germany. Only after we won a decisive victory did the US officially become an ally, because we made a monkey out of Kruschev, who was backing Egypt and Syria.
Now you say Israel is not America’s responsibility? OK. It’s not. If you want to back Iran, go right ahead and do it when you’re President, if the Ayatoilets are still in power. But since President Trump has opted to continue America’s alliance with Israel, fighting side by side with us, here we are.
Respect the judgment of your CIC, and leave off these stupid tropes. We didn’t put a gun to Trump’s head or blackmail him to get him to join us in a war with Iran. He had been saying such a war was necessary and inevitable since 1980, and has never stopped saying it, and during negotiations they let slip how close they were to going nuclear. We have a common foe, who is a threat to the entire world, including the US, not just Israel. And had he opted not to do so, we would have gone alone, as we did in 1948 and ‘67. Until the present conflict, at no time did the US directly join our conflicts.
Now go ahead and continue saying you’re putting America first. So is Trump, in fact moreso than you have any idea.
Iran with a nuke is all our business
I mean I get your ire that AIPAC is a hair too much historically but that doesn’t mean we’re subordinate to Israel
We made a decision very early to support their goal to keep the real estate they won by Brit decree and later via war or conquest
Like anyone else they have a right to keep it
And they do
They are also more civilized or western than the Muslims around them although the kingdoms seem to be moderating which is not a bad thing for the ME or oil
And any minority without great wealth or royal
DNA lives better and freer in Israel than any Muslim nation this side of maybe Albania
It’s just common sense if you believe in western civilization
Israel is one of the good guys
