This mass migration is, in part, a consequence of decades of conflict and instability in the Middle East. Critics argue that U.S. involvement in these wars has often served Israeli interests, while the United States and its citizens have continued to bear significant costs and consequences.
Skuds hit Tel Aviv, 1991. Intifadas. Suicide bombings. October 7, 2023. Constant missile and terror attacks, including Entebbe, Achilles Lauro hijack, Israeli olympic team, Maalot.
What “Israel interests” were furthered by this never-ending state of war, ‘48, ‘56, ‘67, ‘73, ‘81, ‘14, ‘23 (did I leave any out?). Every time the young men comming back in body bags, somebody’s son, father, husband, brother.
“Costs and consequences” to America? Significant? High gas prices, sometimes. Terror attacks and wars to watch on TV and go “tsk tsk tsk”. 9/11, Khobar Towers, Marine Barracks in Lebanon. OK. Ever have incoming sirens in your own neighborhood? Me? Not lately. But in three years of war, it was a frequent occurrence, some times daily.
Why don’t you take responsibility for your own words. By “critics argue” you mean this is what you believe, but don’t want to say so. If it’s not what you believe, than stand by your own words. What do you say? Man up.
