I went to the reddit Link where this story came from.
This is not a real woman that had an abortion at planned Parenthood this is one of their staff writing an advertisement in the form of a woman that did.
Read for yourself and decide.
Wanted to get this off my chest and share my story - I had a medicinal abortion yesterday and I’m feeling SO grateful to Planned Parenthood, plus I learned some stuff that might be useful to some.
I keep a mega stash of pregnancy tests that I bought in bulk on Amazon (soooo much cheaper than buying at the drugstore) so I can take one whenever I need to put my mind at ease. I also keep track of when I’ve had sex and my period dates on an app so I know exactly when I’m late (also recommend this because it helped a lot in this situation.) So as soon as I was a few days late, I took 3 pregnancy tests, had a full blown panic attack at the double line, and started googling how to induce a miscarriage. Closest to pure horror I ever felt. I 100% knew I wasn’t keeping it and felt like the guy in Alien who has the creature inside him scratching away. Needed to get rid of it ASAP. (This was mothers day, which just added to the emotional weirdness.)
I went on my health insurance website and looked up the in-network GyN closest to me. The third time I called, I was able to state what I was calling for without crying. They patched me through to a OB clinic that congratulated me on my pregnancy, and then got all “oh... we’ll call you back” when I asked if they could help me go over options. I called another clinic too and had no luck getting through to schedule an appointment.
After a few days of phone tag and waiting for the 2nd clinic to call me back, I was ready to try something else. Finally I called Planned Parenthood. I had thought PP was for low income women and if you have insurance you’re not supposed to go there and “take advantage” of services intended for those who are worse off. But its not realoy like that and PP accepts tons of health insurance plans.
I can’t even put to words my relief and gratitude when the new patient coordinator was clear, helpful, non judgmental, and sheduled my appointment for the next day. She even walked me through directions, expectations of what the appointment would entail, and that there may be protesters outside but there would also be volunteer chaperones. A financial coordinator called me in an hour to walk me through what my insurance would cover.
I was so nervous and feeling judged and afraid of the protesters, but the only person outside was a kind male volunteer who held the door. There is a metal scanner and security check point on the way in, which actually made the clinic feel safe and protected inside. Everyone was clear, clinical and professional. I’m sitting here with misoprostol in my cheeks with my instructions and side effects print out in hand.
Things I learned -They measure how far along you are from the age of the egg, not the date of conception. Ie my last period was 5 weeks ago but I probably conceived 3 weeks ago. I’d be considered 5 weeks. -Up to 10 weeks, you can do a medicinal abortion. In clinic, you take mifeptistone to stop the pregnancy from growing. They send you home with misoprostol that makes your body pass it. The side effects of pain and heavy bleeding should only last a day. -They do a vaginal ultrasound to confirm you’re pregnant and how far along. They ask if you want to see the images, which was the only hard part for me. I said no. I thought it would trigger too many emotions to see a fetus. However, looking it up at home later, it’s really more like a yolk at the 5 week mark. I think this made it easier for me. I’m glad I caught it early and PP was so available so I was able to get in the door and terminate the pregnancy before I would’ve needed a clinical abortion, which I think for me personally would’ve been a little more traumatic, especially doing this by myself. Grateful for my state’s access to these services, which I never expected to need.
Anyway, after a hell week of stress and crying tears not knowing what to do next, I feel like as soon as I got on the phone with PP it’s like your mom’s there taking care of you. Everything was laid out clearly, and now I feel like the hugest weight is off. When I’m financially able I’m going to write them a fat donation. Cheers ladies.

I could go through this whole article like a hot sword 🗡️ through butter in explaining what is wrong.
I’ll only start with the beginning. She said she had a chemical abortion yesterday and today she writes her dissertation about it?
I’ll take “things that never happened for $500. Alex”.
It? Was it a dent from her car?
Probably like a cross between David Hogg and Talarico.
