Well, this site does require a thick skin, nothing wrong with that, best be able to back up what you bring forth.
Should it though? If someone new comes into a place and is immediately set upon is that what you really want for a place to succeed?
I’d be absolutely fine with someone with an alternate position that they supported with a coherent argument. If they took something someone said and provided a countering position. That’s not what happens here and certainly not lately. As soon as anyone doesn’t just say I agree with everything everyone has said completely they are set upon.
So what do you get? A site where no one bothers saying anything because if it isn’t amen I agree completely and without question….. but yeah. Wonder why more people don’t want to be a part of that…
I fell in love with this site while dodging dinasaurs in the woods because folks would staye their position and then type “flame suit on”.
They didn’t whine or cry, they FOUGHT, with their intellect and experience, like Rush Limbaugh, or were just funny as heck and I would fall off my chair...when ROTHLMAO was new.
We need to fight, semi-respectfully, and best like GK Chesterton. That is the way to move us and the country forward. No backstabbing, only front stabbing with a smile, and love.
And we need articles I like....which I don’t post because I fon’t know how.
How about as many posts about HOW TO POST as we see about PLEASE DONATE.
