I know Nadim. He is a good man. But he must have been driven a little crazy by crap like this over and over.
Chasing down dine and dashers with a gun is a bit extreme. I understand the frustration. But the reaction was not appropriate as no one’s life was threatened. In fact, bystanders might have been endangered by his actions.
I doubt he gets convicted/indicted. But it will cost him.
No one’s life may have been threatened directly. But how about indirectly?
Maybe Nadim can’t buy food to eat someday, because he doesn’t have 92.40.
Maybe Nadim can’t buy health insurance or pay his doctor someday, because he doesn’t have 92.40. Maybe his blood pressure goes up because of this incident.
Maybe Nadim buys a smaller car or decides to wait on a brake job, because he doesn’t have 92.40.
Maybe Massachusetts’ reaction is what was not appropriate.
Chasing down dine and dashers with a gun is a bit extreme.

as I read the story, it seems like nadim didn’t pull his gun in self defense until after he was surrounded by an aggressive group/gang
Yeah - there’s some trigger-happy people here. It’s not the appropriate response to every situation. It’s exactly what the police are for - we’re not in the wild west.
