Looks to me like both sides won.
We get bases and a lot of control without annexing/conquering.
The Greenlanders will get a money infusion from the US simply from the US forces that will be stationed there. Support towns will grow up around military installations.
And the Greenlanders and Danes keep their sovereignty.

It obviously has strategic value, and better us than China or Russia, but Newsmax like most of MAGA is so desperate for a “win” that they are overselling this.
