Iran has been at war with the US since 1979? By that you mean the Iranians overthrew the installed puppet Pahlavi, I guess that’s accurate. You have to look at it from above-God’s eye view. The first shots fired was a war of choice in 1953 called Operation Ajax, in which the CIA gleefully conspired with Britain at the behest of British Petroleum to overthrow the elected Iranian government of Mohammad Mosaddegh because he had the temerity to nationalize Iranian oil for the benefit of the people. That was the big crime that Britain and the US couldn’t tolerate. Khomeini and the revolution was the result of that imposed war.
You don’t see China, Russia, India etc engaging in stupid greed-based adventurism like the CIA and MI6 is famous for. They also have no intention of becoming Shia colonies. They’re dealings are based in economic partnerships, and mutual benefit. That’s why they’re not a legitimate enemy like Israel and the US are. The reserve currency dollar is falling, BRICS is rising, drones are levelling the playing field and countries have choices today that they didn’t have before. It’s a new world.It really isn’t that hard.

Sorry Antioch, but your view seems a lot more like your view than God’s might be. I am sure you have faith, but Trust is hard to come by. I trust that everything that is unseen now is perfectly known by God and He will sort things out in his time.
Mosaddegh was appointed by the Shah. He wasn’t elected by the people. He then started a bunch of shenanigans against the Shah but didn’t have the support of the mainstream so he was forced into alliances with the radicals — the Islamics and the communists. The US didn’t like that because it posed a risk of Iran and its energy resources falling into the Soviet orbit. Remember, this was the height of the Cold War. The whole Iran thing was really a proxy struggle between the US and the Soviet Union. The Soviets had their agents in Iran assisting the anti-Shah forces all the way up to the revolution in 1979 and beyond. The current alignment between Iran and Russia goes back to the Cold War era.
