My 24 yr old son was homeschooled from K-12, the last two years on his own because his primary teacher (my wife) passed away when he was 16. I was still working at the time and couldn't oversee his education. I am a retired Mechanical and Welding Engineer. He received an AA degree before he graduated from high-school and finished his B-S before his 19th birthday. He is now an Electrical Engineer with an MBA and is working on his PhD.

Both of my nephews were also homeschooled all the way through school. The oldest attended college and became an A&P mechanic and worked modifying special purpose aircraft for the military and other government agencies. He is also an Electrical Engineer and owns/operates his own business in Florida.

My youngest nephew was kicked out of two colleges because he was an overachiever and put many of his professors on the spot asking questions they couldn't answer and besting them in debates. He decided to pursue a Machinist apprenticeship. He is now a Master Machinist / Tool Maker and his employer is paying his way through engineering school.

All three of these young men are solid Christians, and can articulate their faith and solid constitutional principles, and all of them are making six-figure incomes.
