I wholeheartedly agree.
No one remembers we half-stepped into Fallujah in April 2004 and accepted a negotiated peace on the insurgents’ terms. I was in Shia Iraq (MND-CS) at that time and and remember the palpable disgust on local Shia faces when convoying. “Stupids” was the general gist of it. It wasn’t until the November 2nd assault that the insurgents were driven out and defeated. THEN we had the respect of the Iraqi Shia.
Same same with Iran.
We will have to thoroughly beat the IRGC to have any respect or lasting agreements. Anything less just makes the West look like disreputable chumps to which the IRGC is under no obligation to respect -and won’t.

Exactly right. And Trump and Bibi need to immediately announce that imminent destruction of the IRGC will be followed immediately by temporary allied control of Iran pending the establishment of a new federal constitution and an Iranian governing regime the operation of which will be based on its provisions.
