My insane lib father was in to all that woo woo stuff. I remember he joined in the “harmonic resonance” chants or some such nonsense when I was young. He bought URI Gellars spoon bending shtick hook line and sinker. Every new age gimmick he was all for. He never did just go to church and give his life to Jesus. I have no idea where he is now.
Sad. Even on Coast to Coast George Noory said a tape delayed segment of a psychic was shown to be phony because how could it still be getting calls when the psychic was gone after the live segment? His paid henchmen at home were making the phony calls to him as a setup.
At a science fiction convention I saw a debunking guest demonstrate how to slip a bent spoon to replace the straight one to be like Uri Gellar. Very smooth-—and fake.
