Only an Idiot would get the permit for SJ. The county, while still backed up, is more reasonable on the fee and not restricted to living in SJ.
SJ also requires you have firearm insurance(with all listed weapons, all provided to the city) for your house. Which is unenforceable unless you do something stupid like get the city permit
