It seems to me that the use of these Flock cameras is to track anybody thet want to, and there may be some criminals in the bunch. But first they need to get something set up so that certain layers, courts & Judges do not conspire to release criminals while possibly working to entrap ordinary citizens. Our justice systems just don’t seem to be doing the job at times, while this Flock system would seem to be useful mostly as a system to entrap more & more people instead of just the ones who are slipping through the fingers of jstice. Is Flock doing anything to bring men like Geo. Soros to justice? That’s just one question.
At the most Flock should only store data on vehicles where the owner has court ordered surveillance. No one else should have data captured about them. But even if that were the case I still say get rid of them, because the government will eventually ignore the law and put them to a sinister use.
I assume Flock stores some images?
In the future every conservative/ patriot with the use of AI, deep fakes, these cameras and some other common tech will be criminals or made pariahs. Even if the authorities don’t arrest you they will be able to destroy you with a few keystrokes. You will be “proven” to be in places you never visited, both actual locations and websites, and there will be things on your computer that you didn’t put there and easiest of all, written things you never composed will be found. All revealed to the public and/or the prosecutors. You will be made a leper for loving freedom. Yeah it can be done today, but it takes a lot of effort. Big tech like Flock will perfect it and sell it to the government at a handsome price.
But the tyranny of all tyrannies will come the day the government declares space aliens to be real. They will be confident the tech is perfected to create a virtual common enemy for the world to rally against; skeptics will be abducted or sent to fight the aliens and disappear. But the government will come to your rescue, as long as you stay in your assigned safe location and cooperate that is. Can you say “15 minute city”, I mean “protected zone”? And you’re be able to watch all destruction by the aliens on your electronic devices. They will have 24/7 streaming of it, probably on channel 666.
We can’t stop it but we can delay it. Start with eliminating the unnecessary Flock type surveillance cameras. Any freedoms and privacy we give up is not going to be easy to regain.
