Truth be known Maria was/is at the top of her game. There are others but none are #1 IMHO. She can and does get anyone in the world she wants when tough interviews are needed. No one does them better than her.

Even good people do dumb things from time to time.

I don’t think the punishment fit the crime, but clearly there were other things going on.

It’s too bad because Casone (the fill in host) is horrifying to listen to…she has a nasal/California twang that I can’t stand. I am sure she is a wonderful person…and it sounds petty, but that is the entertainment business for you.
