The postpartum period begins after childbirth and is typically considered to last for six to eight weeks. There are three distinct phases of the postnatal period; the acute phase, lasting for six to twelve hours after birth; the subacute phase, lasting six weeks; and the delayed phase, lasting up to six months.

Lindsay Clancy’s youngest child was Callan, who was eight months old.

I completely understand postpartum depression, with the disclaimer that I understand it as much as I understand typical depression to which both sexes are vulnerable, the helplessness and hopelessness of it. The Dark Cloud that follows you no matter what, and is impervious to any factual data and other information that should alleviate the depression by placing it in context.

I get that doesn't work, and that is the terrible thing about it.

But as I have said on other threads, I ask it in this way overall, especially relevant with the death of Gloria Steinem:

I was this on Pookie's Toons recently, and it made me think:

Men would never do this, defend a man who strangled his three children. A man would never get away with this. Not even close.

So, are woman who defend Lindsay Clancy saying that:

Just asking.
