CAN WE STOP WITH THE “RED” and “BLUE” DESIGNATIONS?

An astonishing number of people don’t know which is which.

Just use Democrat and Republican. The word democrat is gettign less and less liked because its getting more closely aligned with ‘democrat socialism’

Amen. Allowing the media to permanently affix red to the Republicans in 2000 was a huge mistake. Many of us fought it, but like a lot of language battles, we lost. It did not help when blowhards like Erickson actively chose "redstate". Trump even buys into it with his signature hats.
As far as I am concerned, Democrats are Reds. Now that they are starting to be openly communist, it is more obvious than ever.
