Sounds like normal for the Obama Administration.
I was under the impression is it was too hot of an assignment. At the beginning of the movie, the contractors got pulled over in an alley & the person said that was fairly normal as most of the contractors wore beards while native Libyans were clean shaven. The contractors were stopped because the locals thought they were ISIS.
The attack itself was three separate attacks. The first was to kidnap the ambassador and the next two because of opportunity that was created by causing a vacuum when Khadaffi was assassinated.
When the compound was getting shelled by mortars, the reason it stopped was a local politician was in the annex and called to have the shelling stopped. If he hadn’t been there, chances are the death toll would have been higher.
The other piece a lot of people don’t know is that it was Khadaffi loyalists that got the Americans out of Libya.
