I think the world had a psychotic break during covid. After 2020 there are more crazies than I ever remember seeing.
You are probably correct.
Many people were forced to stay home and not work.
Many people, maybe most, are anchored in reality by interacting with people in the real world.
Biden supplied people with money from the public coffers so that they could stay home. Lots of people were getting more money to stay home than they got from working.
Of the few businesses permitted to stay open were liquor stores.
So, people with nothing to do and flush with money, stayed home and drank or used drugs.
Lack of useful work, loneliness, alcohol and drugs is a good recipe for mental illness.
