Mine’s hotter.” Congratulations—your personality is now a Scoville chart.

Spice ego is the only condition where a grown adult turns dinner into a TED Talk called: “Pain: The Flavor.”

If you need to announce your enchiladas are hotter, they’re not. That’s not confidence—that’s capsaicin insecurity.

People with spice ego don’t want food. They want an audience. “Everyone look at me suffer—this is basically CrossFit for my mouth.”

“Try mine, it’s hotter.” Bro acts like he forged that chile in Mordor and blessed it with generational trauma.

He didn’t cook enchiladas—he cooked a résumé: “Skills: management, leadership, lactose intolerance denial.”

Spice ego dudes will be like, “I don’t even feel it.” Meanwhile their face is leaking like a busted fire hydrant and they’re blinking in Morse code for “help.”

“We’re all eating the same enchiladas.” Spice ego response: “No. Mine are spiritually hotter because I’m emotionally fragile.”

Spice ego is when someone thinks heartburn is a personality trait. “What do I bring to the table?” “Acid reflux and intimidation.”

The only thing hotter than his plate is the way he overreacts to being told he’s wrong. Some people can’t handle mild salsa or mild disagreement.

“My chile’s hotter than yours” is the culinary version of revving a lifted truck at a red light. Nobody’s impressed, everyone’s annoyed, and somehow it’s still loud.

Spice ego people don’t want you to taste the food. They want you to say, “Wow, you’re so brave,” like they stormed Normandy in flip-flops.

Green chilis aren’t even that hot. My wife cooks with them all the time. Ever had green chili stew or roast cooked in a crock pot smothered in them?
