There should be an age in the US below which a person can’t be executed.SCOTUS has set it at 18. I’d like to see 16 but no lower. Thinking back to my childhood (centuries ago) I was far more stupid at 14 than I was at 16. At 16 I understood well that certain things were frowned upon...things like murder.

Everyone has been young before, but it it never occurred to me to kill anybody when I was young.

Arguably, all murderers are stupid, consequently stupidity regarding guilt or innocence should be irrelevant.
