How horrible that I should want men to stop making human traffickers rich. What kind of monster am I?
I am what you fear the most: an honest, honorable and faithful married man. I have raised 6 kids and all of them have good degrees, good careers and only two left to get married. Zero pornography, zero prostitution, zero adultery, and good church-going Catholics. I have never struck any of my children or my wife, ever.
I'm sure you're nice to your mother too, but does that mean we shouldn't care about the men who are wrecking their own lives in addition to others because your family doesn't have these problems?

Someone is making those human traffickers billionaires rich. How do you know some of your friends aren't secretly among them? Do you think they would tell you about it if they were? I have been saddened to find some of my old friends listed in the sexual offender registry. Am I wrong for not wanting to see other boys grow up to be like that?

So yes, I am focusing on them, because they're the ones who are wrecking their own lives and the lives of others with their own choices. If you don't care, then just go back to your house with the white picket fences and let me try to reach them. No one is forcing this on you.
While we're talking about the "wonders" of feminism and our changed world, how about the screaming harpies of the Left, supporting abortion even to the point that Lindsay Clancy is their hero for murdering her children?
We allowed them as girls to assault boys with impunity. Is it any wonder that so many of these girls grew up to be women with this kind of entitlement attitude?
Besides, over half of men support abortion rights, and we all know why.
And what does any of that have to do with opening up opportunities for women?
How about the clearly inadequate female cops, firefighters, infantrymen, and other professions "opened up" to female presence? The clear physical and mental differences are conveniently ignored in the interests of "equality".
How about the men who caved and allowed that to happen, rather than demand that women are held to the same standards? For decades, men including some at this forum have been complaining about how inadequate female troops are putting male troops in danger, but what have men done about it? Nothing. Just cave.
And while we're talking about policemen and the military, who commits most of the crimes and starts most of the wars?
On the former you could make the point that women are allowed to get away with crimes that men would be punished for and that's true, but who are the ones letting them off easy? Usually, it's men.
I'm sorry that you have your issues but the reality is that both sexes are responsible for the mess we find ourselves in now.
Do you even bother to read my posts before replying to them? I have agreed with you on that on numerous occasions. My only point is that men are in a position to put a stop to it. You're the one who has a problem with that.

Apparently, you have no experience at all with our military services. Enlisted and Company Grade and Field Grade Officer have no say at all in matters in the direction of the services and even, it turns out, General Officers too. in 2015, the Marine Corps conducted an exhaustive set of field test comparing all male units with mixed male-female units in combat conditions at Camp LeJeune North Carolina and 29 Palms California.

The tests were rigorously conducted for offensive and defensive combat in the desert and the results were unambiguous: all-male units were superior. The results of that test were forwarded to the Secretary of the Navy and then the SecDef and President Obama and - this is a big mystery - the results of the study were ignored and females were pushed into all combat roles.
I have served in combat. It's no place for women, weak men, or anything else but committed, well-trained, physically fit men. Combat is killing on an industrial scale and whole purpose of the army or Marine Corps infantry is to kill the enemy or be killed in that process. Any study of the history of combat will show the filth, the brutality. the horror of it hasn't changed and never will change. Women are worse than a weaker link, their presence handicaps the unit cohesion that is absolutely needed for success in combat. We're putting 18-19-20 year olds at peak hormones together in close proximity a long ways from home. Individual loyalties - and conflict - will naturally emerge all of which cracks the unity of purpose of that unit.
For decades the Defense Advisory Committee for Women in the Service (DACOWITS) made themselves an annoying presence, dropping in to our ground units while we were training and insisting that "women can do that job". It's not a job, it's a mission, a very specific and dangerous mission that depends on the fitness and unity of its members.
We are at the whims of our political "leaders" and common sense doesn't penetrate.
