Back in the 1960's and 1970's the Catholic Church had a real problem with men who were pedophiles. They went through all the hoops to become priests. Then, as they went out to all the parishes their real intentions became clear.

At the time all the altar servers were boys who were mostly prepubescent. Those faux priests then took horrific advantage of the youth and innocence of those boys.
NOW there are girls who serve as altar servers.
The Catholic Church has JUST finished with all the civil suits against the Church...that's almost FIFTY years later.

Now priests in formation have to go through all sorts of pre-priest tests. With lie detectors, for example, their pedophilia will emerge.
