I hope they’re just deadbeat scammers. Because deadbeat scammers aren’t driven to make any fundamental transformations. They’re just in it for the easy buck.

Barack Obama is a good example that.

A true socialist is different. They do want that fundamental transformation, and will push the envelope to get it.

I really can’t think of a good example of that in American history. Except for perhaps Eugene Debs.

There's W.E.B. DuBois, who social-ized the Civil rights movement over 100 years ago, and when he couldn't make America socialist, left and spent his latter years in Ghana.

It is the great tragedy of Blackdom that DuBois' version of civil rights became the norm, instead of Booker T. Washington's pro-American version, which lives on in people like Thomas Sowell and Clarence Thomas.
