Last Saturday my wife and I were sitting out on the lawn and started talking about the SOAKER hose that we had around the new fruit trees.

I said I think we should get an 8’ one. The 6’ is too short.
Within 2 minutes she ordered it on her phone. She has an Amazon Prime account. It was delivered to our house free on charge/no shipping in the countryside of NH within 20 hours. ON A SUNDAY.

I think it is awesome.

Would your tree die if you waited till your next trip in to town to get the soaker hose. Also give some thought to the local people put out of business by Amazon. Also look in to how Amazon treats the people that sell on Amazon. It is not a friendly environment. Amazon is also turning people in to shopaholics addicted to instant gratification.

I know people that have filled their homes with extraneous merch because of Amazon. Filled their garage with toilet paper, paper towels and other consumables because they are on a auto order plan. It is not a great development for our society IMO.

If I was a Greenie I would be upset at the amount of carbon based fuels that these truck expend. My wife orders from Amazon and has had three trucks from them deliver in the same day. One order for two of an item came on two separate delivery trucks. I on the other hand will not order from Amazon and will go to the store instead. I only order for delivery if I can't get something local. That is mostly electronics parts which are hard to source locally.
