I served 18 years in the Navy. Served onboard an Oiler, a Guided Missile Cruiser, an Aircraft Carrier, a Fast Frigate, and an AEGIS Cruiser. One of the things I learned during my 18 years was to outlast people. You’re working alongside someone or for someone that is a total jerk, eventually either you or he will get transferred. Served me well as a civilian except you can’t take the civilian jerk into a fan room for some one-on-one counseling.
LOL, the only time I ever got into a real fight in the Navy (not counting the time four black guys jumped me on my way to my quarters one night because they didn't like the squadron hat I was wearing which was titled "Clansmen" and the ignorant douche bags likely didn't understand that was a little different than "Klansmen"!) was aboard ship when I had just finished scrubbing a head in preparation for impending inspection any minute, and some guy disregarded the sign and tape and came right in and began using one of the urinals!
"This will not stand!" was not to be a thing for more than a decade in in the future!
