The Royal Navy that ruled the oceans for 200 years is no more. It is no more by political choice and not ability. Least the UK change directions soon it will be as it’s once great Navy, just a force with no force nor direction nor basic sense of what is good.

The old Royal Navy is no more because the empire that supported it is no more. Britain is no more than a second tier regional power. It is only waisting resources by trying to continue to play the part of a world power by building what is nothing more than a prestige ship.

A few years ago when the UK was saber rattling against Russia they admitted what size an army they could deploy , and critically, sustain in combat.

ONE division. In WW2 the BEF was 10 divisions.
