Wow ... a whole 2 gals, on average.(1 - 4 gals, depending on size of vehicle).
In a properly functioning cooling system, you shouldn’t need to add water. The system is sealed, and fluid levels should remain stable between scheduled maintenance intervals.
Maybe you have radiator issues. Most don’t. Closed is CLOSED.
