My guess is that the disruptive “customers” were black and/or illegals. It’s likely that a white citizen would have been arrested, possibly on terroristic threat charges.

My guess is that the disruptive “customers” were black and/or illegals. My guess as well--note that they didn't name the "guests." If they were white, they would have spent the next 20 years as guests of the Crowbar Motel.

No name, no description, no “all-three-names-used (see Janet Reno's emphasis for weeks on “Eric Robert Rudolph” being the suspect for the Atlanta bomb scare.)
My bet is that the two are members of a protected race, class, gender, or sex.
