By the time they would have been able to re-gate, get the family and their luggage off the craft, etc. the runway would have been closed. Apparently, it’s not a 24 hours a day airport. Weird.
Perhaps the child is experiencing a multiple personality. Can’t say “suffering from” or “disorder”, though. That would be highly insensitive to the “differently abled”!

The parents couldn’t get the kids to sit because if they had spanked them, they’d be arrested.
That was a wakeup call for the kid.

It’s no wonder. Parents are gutless and should not even have kids. Society won’t let you beat them or their oh so special pets. It is disgraceful what people have become.
It is possible that if it’s a very young child, maybe 3 or 4, that he or she may have a developmental issue that is just now coming to light. Our community group had parents with an adopted special needs little boy who was having extreme difficulty with emotional self-control, and his parents truly were doing the best they could.
Sometimes an autism diagnosis doesn’t become clearly manifest until a 3-year-old doesn’t hit the developmental thresholds and the parents and medical caregivers start their learning curve of how to manage the kid’s individual challenges.
its a crap shoot any more... even well known freepers send us on wild goose chases these days. I rarely follow any links anymore for that very reason.

Sounds like the airlines need to be a little more discriminating about who they let on a plane. Of course, then the parents will want to sue the airlines. Personally, I think the airlines have a right to discriminate a bit if there appears to be an upcoming problem. This should be indicated as a notice to ALL passengers before boarding.
