The studied LNCS included aspartame, saccharin, acesulfame k, erythritol, xylitol, sorbitol, and tagatose.

None of that sound any good for you...I well remember my doctor telling me years about to avoid asparame b/c it form formaldehyde in the brain.

"Aspartame breaks down into methanol, which is subsequently metabolized into formaldehyde and formic acid in various tissues, including the brain and retina."

Glad I don't like any of it - but know plenty of people who drink Diet Coke by the gallon.

I will provide some contexts, with the help of AI.

AI, please compare the amount of methanol obtained from drinking diet soda with the amount of methanol the body naturally produces

AI Overview

A single 12-ounce can of diet soda provides about 20 mg of methanol from the breakdown of aspartame. In comparison, normal human metabolic processes and the digestion of common foods (like fruits and vegetables) generate endogenous and dietary background levels of methanol often estimated at 300 to 600 mg per day.
