We’re about to find out how powerful progressives really are [Michigan]

Michigan is ground zero for the Democratic Party’s ideological war.

Its marquee Senate race and two of its House primaries on Tuesday — in Michigan’s 7th and 13th Congressional Districts — will provide another crucial test of whether progressives can not only keep up their winning streak in safe-blue seats but also break through in battlegrounds crucial for control of Congress.

The stakes for the Democratic Party are huge: A strong progressive performance, especially a victory by Abdul El-Sayed in the high-profile Senate race, would significantly bolster the left’s argument that its message resonates widely — setting the stage for a bruising fight over the party’s ideological direction ahead of November.

And any Democrat eyeing a White House bid in 2028 will be watching closely for clues about what kind of message can win in Michigan, the perennial battleground that was recently selected as an early Democratic presidential primary state, giving it outsized influence on the nominating process.

“If Abdul El-Sayed is successful next Tuesday, this will mean the hyper-progressive socialist movement has percolated into one of the most crucial general election states,” said Adrienne Elrod, a longtime Democratic strategist who was senior adviser and spokesperson for former Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign.

“This means Democratic candidates running for President in 2028 will have to be even more mindful of how to approach this sector of the electorate.”

Leftist totalitarianism.

Which always ended the same throughout the 20th Century, in mass murder.

No reason for that to have changed here in the 21st.

“Michigan is ground zero for the Democratic Party’s ideological war.”

No it isn’t. It’s being marketed as such but it is just one of the many states and territories that vote under the Constitution. They are BSing the people using the news media to get a hometown vote to be considered gospel. If some idiots in the state want to vote for people that aren’t in their best interest, then who is the rest of the country to tell them they’re idiots. Who’s the fool? The fool or the fool who follows. Michigan doesn’t tell Nebraska how to vote. Neither does the media unless you let them. Be autonomous which is acting and making choices on your own without outside control or in this case, subversion.

When they arrest Bill and Hillary Clinton, then I’ll believe them.

The label “Progressive” came from the “Progressive Income Tax” . The “Progressive” part being that the rich pay at a higher rate than the poor.

There were "Progressives" before there was a federal income tax (not counting the one during the War of 1861).

It carries a whole lot of baggage, and ran a spectrum, with Taft, Woodrow Wilson and Theodore Roosevelt all claiming the mantle. In a short phrase, I would characterize it as using government as an active tool to achieve political and social ends.

Import muslim population to gather in a single area and watching them vote for a muslim candidate isn’t a referendum on leftist politics, it’s an affirmation of leftist ideology that run counter to American interests

“ And what exactly are they “progressing” towards, again?”

Revolutionary blood thirsty murderous communist tyranny vs progressive incremental slow death communist tyranny. Same goal, slightly different method.
