Why do we spend 100 million$ to build an F-35 fighter jet?

That’s what I’m saying. Those numbers need a hard look. 20 million for an engine? You could make it out of solid titanium and have money left over. JD’s guys need to be looking at it. You’d think they were feeding starving kids in the back room. Might be some work for Elon. They’ve always said it costs 10,000$ per pound to put something in orbit. Let’s put an F35 up.
Having built stuff for seven decades I’ve seen every over-priced scam out there. This has the smell of a bunch of them. Thanx for pulling up the chart. It’s enough to keep me pee-ode at least until supper time.
