Calisthenics is my go to, and working in the garden especially behind a shovel.
Working in a garden with a shovel rewards me with nothing but sweat running into my eyes and Close encounters with Heat stroke. That goes for any prolonged outdoor summer “lawn-man” activity.
I surrender finally drenched in sweat, panting for breath seeking indoors ceiling fan and cold beverage shedding every garment along the way, nearly.
Never gained an inch of muscle mass by such torture.
Every day in my hood I watch the parade of aging daily adherents to power walking & Joggers do their thing... and OUTwardly nothing changes, they look the same
Inside they are just wearing out their already aging skeletal parts, ligaments and such.
Its not healthy exercise but does get ones keester off the divan.
