I try to buy only imported Italian pasta, for same reason. Will look for Italian flour.
If I ate all the bread and noodle stuff you folks have been describing I’d weigh 600 pounds. It’s good stuff but I have to stick with my meat and taters diet to keep my playing weight. My Quack worries about my sugar being on the high side of normal. But I don’t eat sugar or sweets in general. I guess I just make efficient use of my regular stuff. So we just have a good laugh when I point out he’s chubby and I’m not. And remind him his job is to outlive me.
Pro tip: If the pasta looks dry, it’s from Italy. It’s superior because they use better flour, and they cut the pasta with steel. Steel cutting leaves the pasta porous. American pasta is cut with titanium. It is not porous, and therefore has that shiny surface.
