Yes, at least 5000. China is undercounting their casualties as usual; it is obvious that the facility with the buses had more people washed away than what they listed.

I read today that China is responsible for the catastrophic flood in Nepal because they had been doing some major construction that undermined the glacier.

But most articles I can find on it attribute the disaster to global warming causing the glacier to break.
