I stated to Ai that at 250 lbs. a person should take a 12 mg tablet of ivermectin:
Here's the response I got: At 250 lbs (~113 kg), a 12 mg dose appears to be underdosed for the standard indications:
Strongyloidiasis / Scabies (200 mcg/kg): 113 × 200 = ~22.7 mg Onchocerciasis (150 mcg/kg): 113 × 150 = ~17 mg A 12 mg tablet matches a person around 60 kg (132 lbs) at 200 mcg/kg — roughly half your weight.
You should double-check with your prescriber or pharmacist to confirm the intended dose. It's possible they prescribed a different strength or a different number of tablets, or there's a different indication at play.
Don't adjust your dose on your own — just verify.
I have read a lot about ivemectin and it appears to be about as safe and cheap a pill that you can find.
