A day or two ago, the U.S. Secret Service placed three non-law enforcement officials, including communications director Anthony Guglielmi, on administrative leave pending an internal misconduct investigation. Conducted by the Office of Professional Responsibility, the probe reportedly centers on the unauthorized leak of sensitive operational security details.
Communications director...communications with tower... sounds like another assassination attempt to me.
Now here’s where it gets interesting:
He served as the Chicago Police Department’s top public safety strategist for large-scale events, including the 2016 Chicago World Cup Series championship and the 2020 NBA All-Star Spectacular. Guglielmi also handled communications about high-profile events and criminal investigations.
In March 2020, the Department of State tapped him to help the Haitian National Police Department to establish a communication and public engagement function.
Prior to joining the Chicago police, he served as director of public affairs at the Baltimore Police Department. He also held private-sector positions such as director of corporate communications and investor relations for K12, legislative communications adviser for Pfizer and chief of staff for the Armed Services Foundation.
