I would go on to say that one of the sure fire cures for taking out the irgc might be boots on the ground. Just not ours, other than CIA or the equivalent.
If we had not screwed over the kurds time and time again like we did recently:
below from brave AI:
The United States has shifted its policy from direct military support to mediating the integration of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into the central Syrian government, a move critics describe as an abandonment of a longtime ally.
(If you have followed historically the US/Kurds episodes over the decades this is nothing new, we have screwed them over and over.)
Minus the desperately needed kurds many of which live in Iran:
If we had CIA,(current company that has been semi-gutted by John Ratcliffe) Mossad and several other intel groups like MI6 and Saudi intel all working together to supply arms to the patriots in Iran eventually a regime change would happen on it's own.
This,IMHO, is what could eventually change the status quo in Iran.
Ideally Iranian citizens can get arms and fight for their freedom. I remember posting a long time abo (can’t remember where I saw this, maybe Jihad Watch) a high ranking Military officer say that if Pahlavi comes back, the military will support him and fight the IRGC
