Except nobody cut a 350 foot gash in the pool or ripped out any lining. According to Jeanine Pirro herself: “It is difficult to attribute the widespread damage to the Reflecting Pool to vandalism, let alone to establish that fact beyond a reasonable doubt...The damage was the result of a botched installation and not vandalism as initially represented.”
From what I understand, Hearn simply bent over on the side and reached into the pool to touch and examine a piece of the lining that had already come up due to the shoddy work performed. I hope he sues for malicious prosecution and wins.
Unfortunately, we taxpayers will pay for that instead of the individuals who should be on the hook.
