I don’t see any resolutions or bills passed.
I never said it was a resolution or bill. It was a note of advice to the administration in the Committee Report attached to the Appropriations bill.
That section was put in by Díaz-Balart who is the vice chair of the Committee and is a top ally of Rubio’s.
He would not have done it without direction or approval.
There are 35 Republican members of the committee and 28 Democrat members. Any of them could have proposed to remove that section from the committee report. None of them did.
They ultimately voted in favor of the appropriations bill on party lines.
