In all seriousness, though my masochism may be debated, my actual intent is not to convince those I’m debating with. Fixed beliefs that are firmly held are rarely changed. Rather it’s in the hope that a third party reading the exchange might be motivated to consider other than the popular narrative. After all, wouldn’t AOC consider January 6 an attempted coup?
