This is another offshoring screwup. Like with vaccines (i.e., legit vaccines, not VAX crappola) the process was offshored to Europe. Now, with EU industry collapsing the production is failing.
Critical supply must be brought back.
I went to pick up my alternative insulin. When I got to the pharmacy, the head pharmacist took me aside and whispered in my ear that they had obtained a small quantity of Lantus, so I could get my regular stuff instead of the alternative. I was instructed not to tell anyone, so I am keeping shtum about what pharmacy it is. But I am thrilled. Only took me a combination of about 2 hours on the phone with my doctor and the pharmacist, plus an hour of computer research, plus driving over there...that’s all.
