Allowed behavior like this flows from the top down. The Commissioner could put a stop to it by making the penalties for physically abusive behavior so severe that the offenders would abuse themselves out of a job. The indicator to me is the behavior of the refs who are getting their marching orders from the top.
I am not sure why she would do such a thing. Most of her money is from endorsements. Nike is paying her an estimated $28M over 8 years. She has other big endorsements as well.
You couldn’t pay me enough to watch a ball game of any sort. But she is definitely a gifted athlete. Maybe she should go for track and field, or as long as she’s getting knocked around, take up MMA. I wish her well, anyway.

One can pick and choose WNBA highlights and find clips out of context that forward a narrative that angry lesbians are headhunting Clark. Most of them are just normal play. Is racism a component? Perhaps, but that angle is overblown. Is there jealousy? Of course. Is the WNBA promoting violence against CC? Of course not.
The picture you posted was definitely a cheap shot. I watched the entire sequence. When the play was reviewed the perpetrator was suspended for a game. She pushed off Clark using her closed fist. Didn’t hit her. Didn’t choke her.
Basketball is a physical sport, especially women’s hoops because most of the players are awkward and don’t have the grace and physical tools of their male counterparts. Have you ever even held a basketball since high school P.E.?
Caitlyn Clark can take care of herself, without Grassley, Obama, and others riding to her rescue.
